An urgent appeal after a serious attack at a boot sale left the victim with brain damage

Detectives have made an urgent appeal for help to find a man and woman following a serious attack at a car boot sale in North Warwickshire. A 42-year-old man was left with a bleed on the brain after he was punched in an alleged dispute over the sale of a roof box at EBoot Market & Car Boots in Lea Marston on Sunday.

Police investigators have not only reiterated their appeal for a man seen in the area at the time, but also a woman who was with him. The man was described as a white male aged between 20 and 30 and approximately 5ft 9in. He has a muscular build with a large red beard and a sleeve style tattoo on his left arm.

He was wearing a black Nike hat with a white logo, a white t-shirt, black jeans and white shoes and was allegedly carrying a large black box from the roof of the car.

Witnesses say he spoke with an Eastern European accent, possibly Polish. The man was said to have been with a blonde woman.

He was between 20 and 25 years old and of slim build and about 5ft 2in or less in height.

DI Sartoris said: “We are very keen to speak to these two people so that we can get a clear and full understanding of the events that led to a man being hospitalized with a brain injury. If anyone can help us find or identify them, we’ll let you know as soon as possible.”
