Coventry nightclub cancels ‘world exclusive’ appearance of Fiona Harvey’s ‘real Martha’ Baby Reindeer

A Coventry nightclub known for its pranks has canceled a ‘meet and greet’ with the ‘real Martha’ of Baby Reindeer. Kasbah took to its Facebook page last night to say event organizers had pulled the appearance because it was “unsafe”.

It came after the Primrose Hill Street nightspot received a major backlash over Fiona Harvey’s alleged upcoming appearance on Saturday (May 17). It was previously said that Ms Harvey – who is believed to be the real inspiration for the Netflix character Martha, will be ‘taking selfies’ and ‘signing autographs’ and perhaps taking ‘a lucky reindeer home to hang the curtains”.

But last night’s post claimed the promoter had canceled the appearance. He also sarcastically thanked the media, saying they were “the gift that keeps on giving” for Saturday’s event.

The club is known for fooling its followers, promoting a fake meet-and-greet appearance with ‘Tinder Swindler’ Simon Leviev in 2022 and an in-person appearance by former health secretary Matt Hancock in 2023. It has also a false claim that Donald Trump’s lawyers forced them to remove an image of the president from publicity photos.

CoventryLive previously contacted the club about the “real Martha” appearance. His full online statement: “Unfortunately, the promoter of Saturday’s date with Fiona Harvey deemed the event unsafe and canceled the appearance due to negative publicity. However, we would like to thank him for considering our location.

“In particular, we would like to thank Metro, Daily Mail, BBC, CoventryLive, Birmingham Mail, ITV News, The Independent, NME, Glasgow Live, MSN, The Sun, Daily Mirror, Warwick Boar, Business Insider, The Tab, CNN and numerous Instagram meme pages with a total of 33 million followers for your support and free advertising – you are the gift that keeps on giving.
