A man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter over the death of ice hockey player Adam Johnson has had his bail extended again.

The Nottingham Panthers player was hit in the neck by a skate after a collision with Sheffield Steelers’ Matt Petgrave on October 28.

The 29-year-old was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

South Yorkshire Police said a man who was arrested in November has been bailed again until June 26.

A spokesman for the force said: “Adam’s loved ones remain at the forefront of our minds as this complex investigation continues.”
