Who is Sipke Hulshoff? The Feyenoord coach is set to be Arne Slot’s assistant at Liverpool

The wait continues for an official announcement from Liverpool that Arne Slot will be the club’s next manager.

Slot is expected to be Jurgen Klopp’s successor in the Anfield dugout this summer. Klopp will step down as Liverpool boss this summer, with his final game in charge coming at home to Wolves in the Premier League on Sunday.

It remains to be seen when Liverpool will officially announce that Slot will be the club’s next manager. Slot is expected to be joined as an assistant by Sipke Hulshoff, who currently works in the same role at Feyenoord.

Hulshoff was also assistant to head coach Ronald Koeman for the Dutch national team. Reports emerged that Hulshoff’s commitments to his country could have blocked the deal ahead of this summer’s European Championships.

However, it was announced on Tuesday that Hulshoff has resigned from his role with the Netherlands national team and will no longer be part of Koeman’s backroom staff this summer. Now, all signs point to an official announcement being made in the near future for Slot to be Liverpool’s next manager, with Hulshoff joining him as assistant.

But what do we know about the coach who looks set to be Liverpool’s next assistant manager?
